Technical Information

CONSTRUCTION
Rebate buildings are constructed from top grade hand selected timber, bought from renewable sources in Canada and Brazil. Before careful machining by Rebate craftsmen, all timber and components are carefully kiln
dried under specifically regulated conditions, to ensure the correct moisture content - vital to ensure the wood is able to withstand changing temperatures and conditions both inside and out. The substantial hand built timber frames are finely detailed using traditionally moulded sections with mortice and tenon joints. All conservatories are anchored with heavy duty bolts and strengthened with decorative laser cut metalwork or solid timber trusses.

BUILDING AND INSTALLATION WORKS
Rebate supply a complete service, from initial concept to finished construction. We design and plan your project, submit plans to and liaise with your local authority to ensure that all regulations have been complied with.We can organise the flooring, electrics, heating, plumbing and plastering works. We are even happy to landscape the surrounding gardens if you wish. Rebate can advise on and install a complete range of matching Pinoleum Blinds to provide the finishing touch to your conservatory.

WINDOWS AND DOORS
Single or double doors, inward or outward opening, the choice is yours, all are hung on brass or stainless steel hinges, complete with mortice five-lever security locks, lever handle furniture and strong bolts with cabin hooks to secure doors in an open position. All Rebate conservatory doors and windows
can be double or single glazed, and are fitted with ‘neoprene’ draught seals - one of the most efficient available. Opening side
sashes can be top hung and totally secured using casement stays and fasteners. Coloured leaded lights are also available as an optional extra.

ROOFS AND VENTILATION
The majority of our customers choose a double glazed roof, though other alternatives such as single glazing are also available, all conforming to British Safety Standards and the Glass and Glazing Federation. Ventilation is provided, in addition to the usual doors and windows, via sturdy roof ventilators, which are operated by the use of an elegant brass or stainless steel handle pole.Automatic openers fitted with temperature control and rain sensors are an alternative, available as an optional extra.

FINISHES
All Rebate timber is treated with a micro porous primer which allows the timber to breathe, preventing
blistering, and ensuring a longer life for the finish of your conservatory. Before leaving our factory, all timber is sprayed with the primer coat, and two finishing coats, for protection during construction. Once completed,
the conservatory is given a final coat inside and out. A full range of colours is available (see chart above). Rebate use authentic highly detailed metal spandrel brackets and braces for support, and utilise wooden carvings, and crestings and fine ornamental metalwork to further enhance the design.
